Jeppe Hein's sculptures and installations are stylistically reminiscent of Minimal Art, but they are often interwoven with a performative aspect. Through kinetic and cybernetic effects and reflections he always stimulates interaction with the viewer. Especially projects such as "Breath with me", which began in 2019, allow the work to emerge only in interaction with the recipient.Jeppe Hein (*1974) in Denmark, lives and works in Berlin.
Jeppe Hein's works have been shown in solo exhibitions at many important institutions, including the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt am Main/Germany (2020), Cisternerne, Frederiksberg/Denmark (2018), the National Gallery of Victoria (2016), Kunstmuseum Thun (2018), Lehmburck Museum, Duisburg/Germany (2016), Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm/Sweden (2013) and the ARoS Kunstmuseum, Arhus/Denmark (2013).
