The chaos of the world seems banned in sublime shades of gold. ” Cognitive Cartographies” is what the artist Jorinde Voigt calls works like these, in which her reading of scientific and philosophical texts translates into far-reaching painting movements. Born in Frankfurt am Main in 1977, Jorinde Voigt now lives and works in Berlin. Voigt has been Professor of Conceptual Drawing and Painting at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg since 2019. Previously, she worked as a professor of conceptual drawing and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 2014 to 2019.
