A smile for you

The catalog is published on the occasion of Jeppe Hein's solo exhibition A SMILE FOR YOU at Bonniers Konsthall and Wanås Konst, which deals with the theme of happiness. The universal and at the same time very personal meaning of happiness, in connection with the possibility of creating situations that can produce a happy mood, was the occasion to approach the subject from an artistic point of view and to present the different ideas of happiness. To reflect the complexity of the subject, the publication features very different voices discussing both Jeppe Hein's art and the subject of happiness: Answers to Jeppe Hein's five questions on happiness, field reports from Berlin, Copenhagen, and Bhutan, as well as art historical texts dealing with Jeppe Hein's work and the theme of happiness in contemporary art.
